How does the roller seedling machine work?
Loading: The compressed lumped soil is fed into the decompression mixer.
Decompression and Mixing: The high-speed rotating blades or agitators inside the machine thoroughly break up the compacted substrate. At the same time, water is added through the spray system to restore the substrate to a fluffy and moist state. This process ensures that the substrate has good air permeability and water retention properties, and evenly distributes the nutrients and beneficial microorganisms within it.
Filling: The seedling trays are conveyed by the conveyor belt to the bottom of the filling machine. The well-mixed loose substrate is filled into each hole in a turbulent and rapid manner through the funnel and scraper system.
Leveling: The seed tray is passed over a fixed scraper or rotating brush, which removes the excess substrate from the surface, ensuring that the substrate quality in each hole is basically the same and the surface is smooth. This prepares the tray for subsequent pressing of seeds and sowing.
Synchronous pressing of holes: The seedling tray moves beneath the non-powered pressing wheel. This wheel is covered with conical protrusions that exactly match the layout of the tray.

Adsorption: The seed suction disc of the sowing machine is densely covered with tiny vacuum suction holes. When the suction disc rotates above the seed slot, the vacuum system is activated, and each suction hole uses negative pressure to hold one seed.
Identification and waste removal: The optical sensor will detect whether there is any leakage or over-suction in the suction holes. Subsequently, a waste removal roller will blow away the excess seeds, ensuring that "one hole, one seed".
Operation: When the seeding tray rotates above the seedling tray, the vacuum is turned off. A positive pressure airflow gently blows the seeds down, allowing them to fall precisely into the pre-pressed seed holes. This process is fast and precise, representing the core feature of automated production lines.

Soil covering: After the seed trays have been sown, they pass through a soil covering machine. A layer of dry and fine substrate is evenly spread on the surface, covering the seeds gently, simulating the state of seeds under the soil in nature.
Irrigation: The tray enters the irrigation unit. The cantilevered spray system moves while spraying water (or a water solution containing fertilizers and fungicides) through multiple atomizing nozzles, like a gentle artificial rainfall, evenly distributing the water (or the solution) over the entire surface of the tray. This irrigation must be thorough to ensure that the seeds can absorb sufficient moisture and initiate germination.
